Match preview
Denmark and the world champions will clash again this weekend at Parken as the both sides come into this match off the back of very different results the Nations League as France got their first win.
Denmark are into this one off the back of a loss to Croatia. A sensational strike from distance from Christian Eriksen did bring them level in the second half, but with a goal in the 79th minute from Croatia, Denmark were level for just two minutes.
Kasper Hjulmand’s men did still manage to defeat Austria at the end of the last international break, although another loss to Croatia prior to that does put them in second and behind the group leaders.
Denmark have still been excellent in their form since reaching the Euros semi-finals. They let in just three goals all campaign long in the World Cup qualifiers, netting an impressive 30 goals at the same time and only losing in their final game of Group F to Scotland.
France defeated Austria last time out for what was their first win of the Nations League season, as Kylian Mbappe scored once again. Oliver Giroud also netted again as he gets even closer to Thierry Henry’s record for the most goals in the country’s history. Giroud is also in fine goalscoring form with AC Milan once more and he will be aiming to get that record broken before or during the World Cup.
