LASK have only lost three of their last 20 European home matches. Slavia Prague have won their only previous tie against Austrian opponents, seeing off Sturm Graz in 1995.

Over 2.5 goals is 8/11.

Over 2.5 goals and both teams to score is 1/1.

Yira Sor, who scored a brace in the first leg, is 14/1 to break the deadlock and 9/2 to add to his tally.

Match preview

It’s pretty safe to say that, after the first leg in the Czech capital, Slavia Praha have got one foot in the quarter-finals.

Seven days ago, the hosts raced into an early 2-0 lead with Yira Sor bagging both, the first an emphatic finish before he rounded the keeper and cooly stroked home.

But, Slavia weren’t to be denied with Olayinka drilling in a third before Ibrahim Traoré’s header moments later wrapped up a 4-1 victory.

So, the Red and Whites make the 163 mile journey south to Sankt Pölten very much in the catbird seat.

If Jindřich Trpišovský’s side do get through this tie, it’ll continue their impressive recent record in European competition.

Slavia reached the Europa League quarter-finals in both 2019 and 2021 before losing to Chelsea and Arsenal respectively.

This latest European season actually began catastrophically, losing in Champions League and then Europa League qualifying to Ferencváros and Legia Warszawa respectively.

But, the Slavists bounced back in the group stages, pipping Union Berlin to second spot thanks to a 1-1 draw in Germany on matchday six.

They then hammered Fenerbahçe 6-4 on aggregate in the first knockout round and are seemingly on their way to another handsome two-legged scoreline.

LASK meanwhile only made their UEFA group phase debut in 2019, but got all the way to the Europa League quarter-finals, bowing out to Manchester United.

This season, die Schwarz-Weißen beat Vojvodina and St Johnstone in qualifiers before topping their group above Maccabi Tel Aviv, HJK and Alashkert.

However, it’s going to take quite the turnaround if Andreas Wieland is to take LASK to a first-ever European quarter-final.

The Austrian club’s usual home venue, Linzer Stadion, is currently undergoing renovation works, so this’ll be played an hour’s drive away in St. Pölten.

Will NV Arena witness a European comeback for the ages?

LASK team news

Andreas Wieland is very short of defenders right now with Petar Filipović, Strahinja Kerkez and Branko Jovičić all injured.

At the other end of the pitch, Andreas Gruber and star striker Marko Raguž are both also sidelined.

So, Florian Flecker and Keito Nakamura will be tasked with getting the goals that turn this tie around.

Both bagged braces in Sunday’s 6-0 drubbing of WSG Swarovski Tirol, the side second-bottom of the Austrian Bundesliga.

Alexander Schmidt could lead the line, in place of Husein Balić, after his goal as a substitute at the weekend.

Slavia Prague team news

No such worries for Jindřich Trpišovský’s side meanwhile as they just need to avoid a huge defeat to go through.

Although, the visitors could be without guaranteed starters Jan Bořil, a full-back, and Lukáš Provod, a winger, who are both injured.

With back-up left-back Oscar Dorley also currently out, Srđan Plavšić could continue to fill in there.

Centre-back Ondřej Kúdela is available again having served his ten-match UEFA ban after he racial abused Glen Kamara a year ago.

However, Aiham Ousou and Tomáš Holeš could continue as the centre-back partnership.

Peter Olayinka has scored seven times in UEFA competition for Slavia so will be looking to add to that tally here.
