After both were eliminated from Champions League qualifying last week, both have work to do if they’re to secure group stage football.

Of the two, Malmö’s exit was far more surprising with few predicting they’d get hammered 3-0 on aggregate by Žalgiris Vilnius.

The Swedish champions have appeared in three Champions League group stages since 2014, including last season, but won’t be adding to that here.

So now, the best the Sky Blues can hope for is the Europa League group phase, featuring in that in 2018 and 2019.

So, currently without a manager, could Malmö be vulnerable to an upset?

Dudelange meantime were hammered 4-1 by Pyunik last mid-week, despite having actually won 1-0 in Yerevan seven days earlier.

The Luxembourgish champions featured in back-to-back Europa League group phases in 2018 and 2019.

However, if Dudelange are to repeat that, they’ll have to overcome the odds in this particular match-up.
