Match preview: West Ham United vs Olympique Lyon

West Ham produced a historic win in the Round of 16 as they knocked out Sevilla.

The Hammers managed to eliminate the record holders of the competition by edging the tie 2-1.

Following a 2-1 defeat in Spain, David Moyes’ side turned the tie on its head by winning 2-0 at the London Stadium.

The east London club now take on Lyon and the winners of this tie will face either Eintracht Frankfurt or Barcelona in the semis.

Olympique Lyon down in 9th in Ligue 1

Lyon have struggled in Ligue 1 this season as they sit in 9th place.

Over recent weeks, they have dropped points against Reims, Lille and Rennes.

They did however win on the weekend securing a 3-2 win over Angers.

In the Europa League, Lyon knocked out Porto in the Round of 16 as they won 2-1 on aggregate.
