Hungary will be aiming to keep up their status at top spot in the Nations League League A Group 3 side of things with them heading on the road to meet with a Germany side aiming to jump ahead of them in the table with a win.
Hungary have been sensational so far in the Nations League. As of now, they are beating all the odds to sit top of the table and they have managed to rack up seven points so far and are five ahead of the Euro 2020 finalists England and even two ahead of the Euro 202 winners, Italy.
The Hungarians have managed to lose just once this campaign, which came in a 2-1 loss to the vengeful Italy in Rome. However, by defeating England 1-0 in Budapest and then a stunning 4-0 victory over the Three Lions at Molineux, Hungary are going to be fighting for a place in the knockout rounds this time around. What’s more, if they can beat Germany here, a place in the knockout stages will be all but guaranteed.
As for Germany, they are coming off the back of an excellent 5-2 win over Italy where they saw four different goalscorers get in on the act, including a brace from Timo Werner. However, three consecutive 1-1 draws against Italy, England and Hungary does leave them in second and in need of a win to move to the top of the table in the Nations League.
Jonas Hofmann scored for Germany in that game as the four-time world champions had just one shot on target in the whole game and scored with that sole effort. Zsolt Nagy was the difference for Hungary that day, as he scored the opening goal after six minutes.
