Blundell Park will open its doors for Grimsby Town and Luton Town to meet in one of five fourth round FA Cup replays with the two clashing in a thrilling 2-2 draw down at Kenilworth Road as both sides took a lead at one stage in the game.
It was the away side that day that took the lead at down in Luton with Gavan Holohan scoring in the first half of a game where Grimsby had seven shots on target from a total of nine efforts – this was two more than Luton.
The Hatters soon equalised, however, with Elijah Adebayo continuing his excellent goalscoring form with a penalty four minutes into the second half. Despite the quick turnaround where there has been just over a week since the last clash, he is expected to lead the line once more.
Jordan Clark then gave Luton the lead at home two Saturdays ago, but the Kenilworth Road faithful were immediately brought back down to earth with an equaliser from Harry Clifton less than a minute after Clark’s goal.
Since the FA Cup game, Luton have gone on to beat Cardiff City and Stoke City 1-0. This could now be a routine victory for the fourth-placed Championship side.
