Match preview

Another new era at Sevilla begins.

Last time out, los Nervionenses were beaten 2-0 by Getafe at the Coliseum and, two days later, Jorge Sampaoli was sacked, after just 31 matches, yielding 13 wins, in charge.

In has come José Luis Mendilibar, who’s most well-known for his six-year spell as Eibar manager, keeping the tiny Basque club in La Liga for many years.

Now Mendilibar finds himself in charge of one of Spain’s biggest clubs, but faces a similar task, with Sevilla very much in a relegation battle.

Los Hispalenses kick off 14th, just two points clear of the drop zone, targeting their first away win since 15 October.

Given that fact, Andalucían rivals Cádiz will fancy their chances of a crucial victory of their own.

The last visiting team to win a league match at Estadio Ramón de Carranza was Barcelona on 10 September, so will that fact change here?
