Getafe are unbeaten in eight meetings with Mallorca, a run that dates back a decade.

Under 2.5 goals is 4/9.

Under 2.5 goals and both teams to score NO is 4/5.

Getafe to win and under 2.5 goals is 11/4.

Enes Ünal has scored 14 goals in La Liga this season, all since 27 October. He is 4/1 to break the deadlock and 8/5 to add to his tally.

Match preview

Can Mallorca end their miserable losing streak and climb out of the relegation zone?

Afterwards, Luis García Plaza was sacked with Javier Aguirre returning to La Liga as his replacement.

The 63 year old has previously managed Atlético Madrid, Mexico, Japan, Egypt, Espanyol, Leganés and others, suffering relegation with the latter in 2020.

Once again, he’s tasked with saving a side as Mallorca are in the relegation zone, but would leapfrog Cádiz and Granada with a victory here.

Getafe meanwhile are just three points above their visitors for Palma, so are looking to massively increase this cushion with a win of their own.

Quique Sánchez Flores’ side drew 1-1 with Athletic Club at San Mamés a fortnight ago, despite having both Jorge Cuenca and Jakub Jankto sent off.

Admittedly, the latter was an unused substitute.

This means Getafe are now winless in six games but, having drawn four of them, they’re just about keeping their heads above water.

Will either claim an invaluable win at Estadio Coliseum Alfonso Pérez?

Getafe team news

Gaku Shibasaki of Getafe

Both Jakub Jankto and Jorge Cuenca are suspended after being sent off at San Mamés.

Thankfully, Mathías Olivera is fit again so the Czech Republic international doesn’t have to fill-in for him at left-back.

In the middle, Erick Cabaco could come in alongside Stefan Mitrović and Djené, if Quique Sánchez Flores sticks with a back five.

Enes Ünal will lead the line having scored 14 of Getafe’s 27 La Liga goals (51.9%), despite not scoring until the end of October.

Mallorca team news

It is hard to predict what Javier Aguirre will do given that this is his first game in charge.

He’ll be hoping to get Vedat Muriqi firing again; he scored two in his first three Mallorca appearance but hasn’t scored in five games since.

Takefusa Kubo and Salva Sevilla who were both surprisingly left on the bench at Espanyol are also likely to return.
