Barcelona have won 18 of their last 23 meetings with Levante, scoring 72 goals in these matches. The Frogs famously beat Barça 5-4 in May 2018, thereby ending their hopes of an unbeaten season on the penultimate weekend.

Barcelona to win and over 3.5 goals is 15/8.

Barcelona to win and both teams to score is 7/4.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is 3/1 to break the deadlock and 4/6 to score anytime.

Match preview

If Barcelona are to pull off the most unlikely of La Liga title wins, they’ll surely need to win all of their remaining games, continuing here.

Last Sunday night, Barça beat Sevilla 1-0 at Camp Nou, thanks to Pedri’s majestic strike mid-way through the second half.

So, the Catalan giants are now up to second, 12 points behind Real Madrid with a game in hand.

A more likely route to silverware is the UEFA Europa League with Barça facing Eintracht Frankfurt in the quarter-final first leg last Thursday.

The Bundesliga club took the lead just after half time, only for Ferran Torres’ smart finish to ensure they left Deutsche Bank Park on level pegging.

So, Barcelona will be confident of winning the second leg back at home and advancing to a meeting with West Ham or Olympique Lyonnais.

Before then, will they keep their slim titles hopes alive?

As for Levante, they’re now off the bottom of the table and believe you me that is a big deal.

The Frogs didn’t win a single league match between 11 April 2021 and 7 January 2022, thereby breaking Sporting de Gijón’s winless record.

Alessio Lisci’s side then finally beat Cádiz and subsequently claimed victories over Atlético Madrid and then Elche.

Then, last weekend, José Luis Morales’ brace saw them overcome Villarreal 2-0, lifting Levante off the bottom for the first time since early-November.

Now, amazingly, the Frogs are just six points adrift of safety, looking to pull off the great escape.

Will Barcelona be too strong at Estadi Ciutat de València?

Levante team news

Shkodran Mustafi came off the bench in last weekend’s win over Villarreal for his first appearance since December due to a knee injury.

However, Rúben Vezo, Martín Cáceres and Rober Pier are the usual choice at centre-backs.

This means the German World Cup winner will have to wait for his first start.

Barcelona team news

Gerard Piqué went off injured just 24 minutes into Thursday’s trip to Frankfurt, meaning he’s not going to feature here or in the near future.

Sergiño Dest, Ansu, Memphis and Luuk de Jong are all also out.

So, without Piqué, Eric García, Óscar Mingueza and Clément Lenglet will share centre-back duties.

Dani Alves could return at right-back, given that he’s not in the UEFA squad, with Ronald Araújo saved for Thursday.

In midfield, it’s three from four right now, choosing between Sergio Busquets, Frenkie de Jong and the two teenagers, Pedri and Gavi.

Ousmane Dembélé could return to the forward line, alongside Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who’s already scored nine times since his debut in February.
