Getafe won the reverse fixture 1-0 on 2 January, ending their 15 match winless streak against Real Madrid, However, they’re winless in 12 visits across town to the Bernabéu, dating back to 2008.

Real Madrid to win and both teams to score NO is 11/10.

Karim Benzema is 5/2 to break the deadlock and 4/5 to add to his tally of 37 goals this season.

Match preview

It was the Karim Benzema show in the UEFA Champions League once again as Real Madrid take another step towards a 14th European crown.

On Wednesday night, los Blancos faced holders Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the first leg of their quarter-final tie.

Real were 2-0 up early thanks to a pair of Benzema headers, coming mere moments apart, nodding in crosses from Vinícius Júnior and then Luka Modrić.

Thus, Carlo Ancelotti’s side left London 3-1 ahead, sat in a commanding positition with the second leg in Spain to come this forthcoming Tuesday.

This season could produce a treble given that Real have already captured the Supercopa de España and are 12 points clear in La Liga.

Last Saturday, a pair of Benzema penalties saw the league-leaders to a 2-1 victory at Balaídos over Celta de Vigo.

This maintains los Blancos’ huge gap at the top of the table, looking to extend it even further with another win here.

Getafe meanwhile looked doomed to relegation not so long ago, but have surged up the table in recent months and are now almost safe.

Last weekend, despite Enes Ünal squandering a spot-kick, Borja Mayoral’s late goal saw off relegation rivals Mallorca 1-0 at Coliseum Alfonso Pérez.

Before this, Quique Sánchez Flores’ side were actually winless in six but, on the flip side, they’ve now only lost three of their last 17 outings.

This leaves Azulones 14th, with 32 points to their name, a whopping six points clear of danger.

Nevertheless, there’s only likely to be one winner in this Madrid derby at Estadio Santiago Bernabéu.

Real Madrid team news

Carlo Ancelotti’s XI very rarely changes but, with Chelsea visiting in just 72 hours, some fringe players could got an opportunity here.

Éder Militão will miss that second leg suspended but, having hobbled off at Stamford Bridge, might be injured anyway.

Isco, Eden Hazard and Luka Jović are also out due to injury.

Without Militão, Nacho will deputise at centre-back and here, if Ferland Mendy is given a rest, Marcelo could start in La Liga for just the fifth time this season.

On the other side, Lucas Vázquez would deputise if Dani Carvajal is rested.

Other candidates to be rotated in include Eduardo Camavinga, Dani Ceballos, Marco Asensio, Rodrygo and maybe even Gareth Bale.

Karim Benzema and Vinícius Júnior have scored 37 and 17 goals respectively this season, 62.8% of all Real’s goals (excluding Copa del Rey).

Thus, both will surely be wrapped up in cotton wool for Tuesday.

Getafe team news

Quique Sánchez Flores has been deploying a back five in recent weeks and that could be the case once again here.

This has featured Okay Yokuşlu, a midfielder by trade, alongside Djené and Stefan Mitrović.

Mauro Arambarri and Nemanja Maksimović are about as solid and hard-working a midfield pair as any other in La Liga.

Top scorer Enes Ünal who has 14 to his name, all since 27 October, will partner Borja Mayoral, Sandro or Jaime Mata in attack.
