After last Saturday night’s/ Sunday morning’s Copa del Rey Final heartbreak, how on earth do Valencia turn their attention back to La Liga?
Betis broke the deadlock early, only for Hugo Duro’s calm dinked finish to level things up shortly after.
That was the end of the scoring, meaning a penalty shootout followed, commencing at about 1:45 am local time on Sunday morning.
Unfortunately, the only man to miss from 12 yards was teenaged American international Yunaus Musah, blazing his effort into Sevilla’s night sky.
So, it was Betis who lifted the Copa del Rey, with Valencia fans heading home distraught.
Back in La Liga, having lost their last two, José Bordalás’ side have slipped down to tenth, ten points below the European positions.
This means their hopes of getting back into UEFA competition are very slim and an underwhelming end to the season could follow.
However, here, there’s no better fixture to focus the minds than a Derby del Turia against your city-rivals.
Unlike their neighbours, Levante are in desperate need of three points as they bid to stay in La Liga.
The Frogs were last in action nine days ago when they were beaten 3-2 by Sevilla; José Luis Morales and Roberto Soldado scoring in vain.
So, despite winning two of their last four, Alessio Lisci’s men remain second bottom, six points from safety with just five games to go.
Will Levante claim a huge victory, thereby winning at Mestalla for the first time in 85 years?

Jasper Cillessen started Valencia’s last La Liga game, his first appearance for month, so it’ll be interesting to see if he comes back in for Giorgi Mamardashvili here.
Elsewhere, José Luis Gayà will keep his place after a recent spell out injured.
Gonçalo Guedes and Copa del Rey Final goal-scorer Hugo Duro will lead the line with Maxi Gómez out long-term.

Levante are without experienced centre-backs Martín Cáceres and Shkodran Mustafi; the latter has played just once since mid-December due to a knee problem.
Roberto Soldado’s goal off the bench against Sevilla could see him come into the XI for this derby.
He’ll partner the other scorer from that match, José Luis Morales, with Dani Gómez joining Roger on the bench.
