Match preview

Derby County will be in search of extending their unbeaten run of form in League One to an impressive 10 games when they meet with Cambridge United at Pride Park on Friday night.

The Rams struggled at the start of the 2022/23 season in League One but they are now heading for a 10th game without the taste of defeat since a 1-0 loss to Ipswich Town. Derby drew 0-0 with Bolton Wanderers last time out, and in this unbeaten run, they have drawn six games.

However, the club defeated Forest Green 4-0 not too long ago and now head into this one with a FA Cup third round tie against Barnsley to look forward too as well.

As for Cambridge, they head into this one with just two games played in the past 19 days. They beat Shrewsbury Town 2-1 last time out, not long after getting a decent point against Plymouth Argyle on December 10th.

On the other hand, they are still in 16th and fears of a relegation battle are still lingering.
