Two sides in the bottom half of League One will meet this weekend with Fleetwood Town and Shrewsbury Town set to battle at Montgomery Waters Meadow with the two clubs coming into this one off the back a struggle throughout December.
Shrewsbury have lost their past two games since beating Bolton Wanderers in a fantastic 3-2 victory. A 2-1 loss to Cambridge United and a 1-0 defeat to Cheltenham Town has launched Steve Cotterill’s men into 14th in the table.
The club are still just two points off the top half of the table and have a game in hand on 12th-placed Bristol Rovers too, having now won eight games and lost 10.
As for Fleetwood, they lost to Sheffield Wednesday on Boxing Day, before a defeat to Barnsley three days later. Both sides are in the top four, however, so losing to them isn’t the worst result in the world.
On the other hand, Scott Brown’s side are still just five points above the bottom three, despite beating 22nd-placed MK Dons at the start of last month.
