Hartlepool United are on the road again as they head to Barrow with the two sides in completely contrasting areas of the League Two table with the home side sitting fifth and set to challenge for the playoff spots.
It’s been a sensational season for Barrow as the club now sit inside the top six and with a real chance to stomp their marker down on the playoffs during the World Cup. They did, however, lose to Crawley Town in the last and this also came off the back of a 1-0 loss to Mansfield Town in the FA Cup.
On the other hand, prior to this losing run of two games, Barrow went on a five-game unbeaten run in all competitions, drawing to only Gillingham and beating Grimsby Town, Crewe Alexandra, Colchester United and then Carlisle United in the Football League Trophy.
As for Hartlepool, despite still sitting in the relegation zone, they are at least off bottom in the table by one point above Colchester. The club still trail Rochdale in the safe zone of 20th by three points with them winning only two of the 18 games in League Two so far. Hartlepool have also let in the most goals this season with 31.
