Match preview

It’s one of the biggest games in League Two this weekend when Bradford City play hosts to Salford City in Yorkshire with the two clubs separated by just one place in the table as they eye up a playoff spot in 2023.

Ahead of the game, it is Salford who trail Bradford in the table with the Ammies down in eighth and the Bantams in seventh. This does, however, come off the back of a fantastic win for Salford last time out.

Matt Smith continued his sensational form against Grimsby Town that day, as the striker netted a first half hat-trick. Ethan Galbraith also scored in the first half of a 4-1 win, as Salford scored all their goals inside 40 minutes.

As for Bradford they moved on swiftly from the loss to Carlisle United on Boxing Day with a narrow win against Harrogate Town at home.

They have only played three times in the past month, however, and lost to Leyton Orient in the other game 3-0.
