Match preview

Last place in League Two will meet with Doncaster Rovers this weekend just prior to the World Cup beginning as Colchester United look to bounce off the foot off the table at the JobServe Community Stadium following another winless stretch.

Colchester have been gradually getting worse for many months and they have failed to find any regular winning form in this League Two season. As of now, they currently sit with a winless stretch going as long as eight games since a win over Harrogate Town in League Two back in early October.

The club are now bottom of the table as Hartlepool United won the other week, meaning they sit with just 11 points, two wins and 26 goals scored from 18 games. Quite incredibly, they haven’t conceded the most goals and with 14 scored of their own, they have also managed to score more than sides like Gillingham.

Doncaster are into 10th after a recent win over Grimsby Town where they managed to win 3-1 away from home. The club have only lost to Stevenage in the last few League Two games, however, with a loss to King’s Lynn Town in the FA Cup, Danny Schofield’s men did put on record one of the club’s worst-ever FA Cup results.
