Two sides in opposite sides of the League Two table will be aiming to get all three points on Thursday evening at the JobServe Community Stadium as Colchester United in 22nd meet with Wimbledon in 12th.
Despite sitting in the top half of the table, Wimbledon do come into this one off the back of a 1-1 draw at home to Newport County. Ethan Chislett scored the opening goal that day, but Kyle Hudlin’s red card in that game does mean he misses this outing.
Johnnie Jackson’s men have also beaten Grimsby Town and drawn with Swindon Town in December, which does mean the club enter this games unbeaten in the league this month. A loss to Plymouth Argyle on penalties in the EFL Trophy is their only defeat in December.
As for Colchester, they got their best win of the season last time out in beating Gillingham to move off the foot of the table. The U’s have still only managed to secure four wins, however, and with Rochdale in 23rd having a game in hand over them, Colchester could be back in 23rd soon.
