Two sides right by one another in the League Two table will meet this weekend at the Eco-Power Stadium as Doncaster Rovers in 10th take on Walsall in 11th with both teams looking to remain in the top half of the table by the end of the week.
They do both sit in the top 12 right now, but with Tranmere Rovers, Stockport County and Wimbledon all right behind them, there is a chance Doncaster could end up dropping as low as 15th here. At the same time, Walsall could move to 16th if they lose here and those below them win, with Crewe Alexandra having a game in hand in 15th and seeing just a three-point gap.
As of now, just one point is the difference between Walsall and Doncaster, and a victory could take them both to as high as ninth in the table and above Salford City with a playoff spot in sight.
Walsall are also on a positive run of form right now that has seen them go on a fantastic run of seven games without defeat. They have drawn two of those games, drawing with Sutton United and Carlisle United. However, in beating Harrogate Town, Crawley Town and Rochdale, they have won three games in League Two. Walsall also managed to beat Wycombe Wanderers in the FA Cup before a win over Carlisle in the competition too.
