Forest Green Rovers remain top of the table but will they stay there?

The Saddlers, finally, ended their losing streak last weekend by beating Tranmere Rovers 1-0 thanks to Conor Wilkinson’s 85th minute penalty.

Before this, Walsall had lost seven consecutive league games, slipping from 13th all the way down to 21st in this period.

Now though, Michael Flynn’s men are 18th, six clear of danger.

Kasey McAteer arrived on loan from Leicester City last month and has strengthened Forest Green’s options.

Jamille Matt remains their main man though having scored 18 in all competitions this season already.
