Match preview

11th will play hosts to 15th in League Two this weekend at Gander Green Lane with a New Years Day battle to try and get into the top half of the table between Sutton United and Wimbledon.

The Dons are coming into this game off the back of a decent December. They also narrowly lost in the Football League Trophy to League One’s league leaders, Plymouth Argyle, having had a 3-0 lead destroyed by a Sam Cosgrove hat-trick.

The club also beat Colchester United last time out, but drew with Newport County 1-1 on Boxing Day. These results have pushed Johnnie Jackson’s men into the top half of the table, however, as they now sit 11th.

As for Sutton, their form has greatly improved in December with them now up into 15th and as far away from the relegation spots as they have been all season long.

This run started with a 1-0 victory over Colchester, before losing 2-0 to Leyton Orient. However, Matt Gray’s side have beaten Crawley Town and Gillingham 2-1 since then.
