Match preview

Second takes on 12th in League Two this weekend as Wimbledon aim to get past Stevenage after a recent unbeaten run that saw them move into the top half of the table for the first time this campaign.

After nearly getting relegated last time out, Stevenage have been sensational this season. The club are second and ahead of Northampton own in third by five points, but they have played a game more than Leyton Orient in first and Northampton, which is a concern. Nevertheless, with 13 games won already, only the league leaders have let in more. As well as this, the club have scored 31 times, let in just 16, and have lost only three times in the league.

Stevenage managed to hammer fourth-placed Barrow a few weeks back, but they have sine gone on to draw 0-0 with Mansfield Town and then lost 3-0 to Portsmouth in the third round of the EFL Trophy.

As for Wimbledon, they drew 0-0 with Swindon Town away from home in the last game, just a week on from beating Grimsby Town and three weeks on since beating Tranmere Rovers – they kept a clean sheet in both games. The Dons also managed to beat Chesterfield in the FA Cup second round a few weeks back.

The main concern for Wimbledon is how they have let in 24 goals and scored only 25 of their own. At the same time, Stockport County just below them and Walsall directly above them both have a game in hand to play.
