Match Preview

The unstoppable Paris Saint-Germain are back in action this weekend when they travel to the Beaujoire Stadium where Nantes awaits them in an early rematch of the Trophee des Champions match that kicked off the French domestic season.

PSG and Nantes have already met so far, as the Paris outfit ran riot at the Bloomfield Stadium in Israel. Lionel Messi netted a great goal that day, with Sergio Ramos scoring his fourth PSG goal already, while Neymar also scored another two goals too.

Back in the league, the Ligue 1 champions have so far scored a stunning 21 goals and let in just four. This has seen them destroy Lille 7-1, beat Clermont Foot 5-0 and also smash Montpellier 5-2 as well. What’s more, with a 3-0 victory over Toulouse, Kylian Mbappe and Juan Bernat got on the scoresheet with Neymar netting another.

In the 1-1 draw with Monaco last weekend, however, the club scored through a penalty from Neymar, who now makes it six goals and six assists already for the club after just five games in the league. It does also leave PSG as one of only four sides still unbeaten in Ligue 1.

As for Nantes, they are in 10th and not moved on that swiftly from the 4-0 loss to PSG earlier in the season. The champions should be confident in getting the job done here and doing so by quite a comfortable margin once more.
