Nice are up into eighth after a stunning run of form in 2023 sees them eye up a spot in Europe all of a sudden with the club set to welcome Ajaccio to the Allianz Riviera on Friday night to kick off another weekend of Ligue 1 action.
It’s been a strange season for Nice. Their summer transfer dealings brought great confidence to the club, but things rapidly went down hill with a failure to break into the top 10 for many weeks. Now, with the addition of Terem Moffi from Lorient, they have only built on their fantastic form.

As for Ajaccio, they sit in the bottom four still despite an excellent win over bottom-placed Angers two weeks ago. Their 2-0 defeat to Nantes leaves them one point adrift of safety, while they now have to deal with the suspension to Diallo Ismael after his red card against Nantes.
