Following on from an entertaining international break where many Paris Saint-Germain stars got amongst the goals, the Ligue 1 champions will welcome Nice to the Parc des Princes with the away side eager to get back to winning ways to rocket up the table.
It’s been a very underwhelming campaign so far for Nice off the back of finishing fifth last time out to get into the Europa Conference League. Now, however, they’ve failed to win in the Europa Conference League with 1-1 draws against Koln and Partizan Belgrade. What’s more, with a 1-0 loss to Angers on home soil last time out, Nice have just one win in September to boast about.
Also in this month, Monaco have taken all three points off them at home too, but by beating Ajaccio 1-0 thanks to a goal from Andy Delort, Nice have managed to move two points above the relegation zone and onto eight points from eight games. Alarmingly, however, the club have only scored five times this season, which is a great contrast to that of PSG’s stunning goalscoring brilliance so far.
The champions narrowly beat Lyon last time out with Lionel Messi getting another goal, and by beating Brest 1-0 just prior to this result where Neymar scored the winner, it does seem like the action in front of goal has dried up a bit for PSG.
Nevertheless, they remain unbeaten in all competitions after defeating Maccabi Haifa and Juventus in the Champions League as well, and it looks as if nobody will be able to stop the incredible ability on show from Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe this campaign.
