Match preview

Paris Saint-Germain are back in Ligue 1 action for the first time in two games after meeting with Riyadh XI in a friendly and smashing Pays de Cassel in the French Cup before meeting with Reims this Sunday night.

It was surprising to see Kylian Mbappe on the pitch from the start against Cassel, but the French superstar returned with a stunning five goals in the game. Neymar also scored, as Carlos Soler added a seventh in the French Cup round of 32.

Last time out in Ligue 1, however, PSG were beaten once more by Rennes to blow the title race wide open. Lens now sit just three points behind the club with the champions losing twice now compared to Lens’ one.

Mbappe, Neymar and Lionel Messi will all be back in action in this game, however, and there is always a chance that the famous trio add a bunch of goals to the current tally of 48 in 19 games for the Ligue 1 giants.

As for Reims, they are narrowly outside of the top 10 because of goals difference, as they have drawn 0-0 with Nice and beaten Ajaccio 1-0 in the past two games. On the other hand, they eased past Les Herbiers in the French Cup round of 32.
