Paris Saint-Germain will step out at the Parc des Princes this Saturday afternoon with the French champions playing hosts to Brest not long after the club defeated Juventus in the Champions League opener on Wednesday night.
It’s been a magical season so far for PSG. Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe are all finally starting to click together now in Paris and defences in Ligue 1 have been torn apart so far when meeting against the famous forward trio. Better yet, Mbappe scored once again in midweek with a first half brace against Juventus in the 2-1 win.
Back in Ligue 1, PSG are sitting top of the table and coming off the back of defeating Nantes 3-0, where another Mbappe brace and a goal from Nuno Mendes secured all three points on the road. it’s the second time they’ve defeated Nantes, with the champions also beating them in the Trophee des Champions 4-0 to kick off the new French season.
The only time Messi and co. have dropped points this season has been in the home draw with Monaco. Other than this, the club have scored a stunning 24 league goals and let in only four, while winning five and drawing just that one game with Monaco.
Brest are struggling once more in the league, and with them having conceded the second-most amount of goals (16) from only six games, it’s tough to see how they don’t register defeat number four from seven games in Paris. When PSG are playing in this sort of form in France, there is only one winner it seems.
