Match preview
Strasbourg and Brest will battle down in the bottom six this weekend with the home side well above the bottom four after a decent run of form with Brest sucked right into the relegation spots after three losses in a row.
Brest did manage to get a decent 1-1 draw with Lens at the start of February, but they have since gone on to lose to Montpellier, Monaco and Lille while conceding seven goals and scoring just two.
Mahdi Camara was also sent off late in the game against Lille and the club only scored a goal through an own goal in the first 10 minutes. Brest are now sitting 18th and adrift of Auxerre in 16th by two points.
Strasbourg are two clear of them too but sit up in 15th because of their superior goals difference. The club have scored 30 goals and let in 43, but they have still only won four times.
A lot of their points have come from their 10 draws, as they drew 1-1 with Clermont Foot last time out after beating Angers 2-1 two weeks prior to today’s game.
