Marseille will be aiming to continue their stunning run of form in France since the World Cup with Igor Tudor’s men netting 10 goals in three games ahead of a trip to the Stade de l’Aube where Troyes are looking to bounce back from a French Cup exit.
The home side were beaten by Lille in their round of 64 French Cup battle, but they did defeat Strasbourg 3-2 beforehand. Renaud Ripart, Rony Lopes and Xavier Chavalerin all scored a goal each that day.
The club also drew 0-0 with Nantes in their comeback game, which now means Troyes are ahead of the bottom three by five points and adrift of the top half of Ligue 1 by just two points.
As for Marseille, they hammered Toulouse at the Orange Velodrome in their first game back, as five different goalscorers got in on the act. A 2-1 win over Montpellier followed, forcing Tudor’s side back into third.
Marseille also eased past Hyeres in the French Cup last time out, where Eric Bailly was sent off. Alexis Sanchez managed to score in that game, however, with Bamba Dieng netting too.
