The Championship and League Two will battle in the FA Cup this weekend as Grimsby Town head to Kenilworth Road where Luton Town await them as the Hatters moved up into seventh in their league after another away win.
Luton have been fantastic once again this season and they have now let in the fewest goals inside the Championship after Millwall, Sheffield United and Burnley. In fact, they sit only outside the playoffs on goals difference.
The Hatters have had an almighty batttle with Wigan Athletic in recent weeks, drawing with them 1-1 in the FA Cup at home before a 2-1 win at the DW Stadium in a replay. Harry Cornick and Elijah Adebayo then scored a goal each in a league game against Wigan last weekend.
Grimsby continue to struggle in League Two, however, despite a great win over Stockport County on New Year’s Day. They have only played one more game in the league since, due to their FA Cup commitment.
This saw Grimsby get hammered 5-0 by Swindon Town last Saturday, as Danny Amos received a red card in the first half which all now keeps Paul Hurst’s men down in 16th in the fourth tier.
