Match preview

Will CF Montréal’s impressive form continue?

Last weekend, the Canadian club hammered last season’s Supporters’ Shield winners New England Revs 4-0 at Stade Saputo.

Kei Kamara breaking the deadlock, before Romell Quioto bagged a brace and then Matko Miljević wrapped up a comfortable victory.

Amazingly, 55 of Kamara’s 135 regular season goals have come against teams he’s played for, including 11 against the Revolution.

Now, only two players, Chris Wondolowski and Landon Donovan, have scored more MLS goals than the Sierra Leone forward.

More importantly, Wilfried Nancy’s team are unbeaten in seven matches so sit second in the east, looking to catch leaders Philadelphia who are five points clear.

Last weekend, their three-match unbeaten home streak came to an end, beaten 2-0 by champions New York City FC.

Ezra Hendrickson’s team were unbeaten in five matches, winning four, but have subsequently suffered back-to-back defeats.

This leaves the Fire 12th, five points below the play-off line.

So, an away win could be on the cards at Soldier Field.
