Atlanta United have won three of their last four meetings with D.C. United, including both in 2021. The Five Stripes lost their first four visits to Washington but are unbeaten in two since.

Both teams to score is 4/6.

Josef Martínez has scored seven goals in nine appearance against DC, only netting more often against Orlando. The Venezuelan is 9/2 to break the deadlock and 11/8 to score anytime.

Match preview

After an unlikely comeback last time out, Atlanta United travel to Capital City in search of three points.

In their last game before the international break, everything was going wrong for the Five Stripes.

They were 3-1 down at home to Club de Football Montréal and a man down after substitute Dom Dwyer had been dismissed for a terrible tackle.

This maintain’s Atlanta’s unbeaten home record this season with their only loss coming in their only away game, a visit to Colorado.

D.C. United are one point and one place below their visitors after a mixed start to the campaign.

Hernán Losada’s side began the campaign perfectly with wins over expansion club Charlotte and perennial strugglers FC Cincinnati.

Since, against tougher opposition, they’ve lost both outings, 2-0 at home to Chicago Fire and then 2-1 against Toronto.

A fortnight ago, Russell Canouse gave the Black-and-Red the lead in Canada, but they were still beaten.

So, Atlanta will fancy their chances of a victory at Audi Field.
