Match preview

It’s fair to say that Chicago Fire’s games so far have been low scoring with this theme certainly continuing last weekend.

So, Ezra Hendrickson’s side are still unbeaten five games into the new season, albeit three of these games haven’t witnessed any goals.

Nevertheless, Chicago have won their other two fixtures, beating D.C. United 2-0 in Washington and Sporting Kansas City 3-1 in Illinois.

This leaves them fourth in the Eastern Conference, only finishing higher than that once since 2009.

Orlando City meanwhile will be hoping to leapfrog their visitors with a victory in the Sunshine State.

The Lions went down 4-2 against LAFC a week ago, despite equalisers from both Alexandre Pato and then João Moutinho in a frenetic first half.

Left-back Moutinho has only scored three goals in Major League Soccer, all coming either for or against LAFC.

That defeat means Óscar Pareja’s team have two wins, two draws and two defeats to their name, most recently beating LA Galaxy away last month.

This one could certainly go either-way but Orlando will be hoping to make home advantage count at Exploria Stadium.
