TFC had made a slow start to the season, accumulating just one point from their first three games, but are now above the play-off line in the east.
However, Toronto have only won two of their last 21 MLS away games, needing to improve on that record.
Real Salt Lake meanwhile have made a blistering start to the campaign over in the west so sit second, below only LAFC.
Last Saturday, RSL drew 1-1 with Rocky Mountain Cup rivals Colorado Rapids thanks to Pablo Ruíz’s emphatic penalty in Denver.
Pablo Mastroeni’s side won three in-a-row in March but are now winless in two with their only defeat so far coming in Kansas a fortnight ago.
