Nashville’s eight-game road trip to start the season is almost complete and, given the travel they’ve had to endure, their points tally is impressive.
The Coyotes will open their brand-new home, Nashville Fairgrounds Stadium, against Philadelphia Union on 1 May, but face two more long trips west before then.
This moved Nashville above the west’s play-off, line having won three of six matches so far, beating recent MLS Cup winners Seattle and Columbus.
Will Gary Smith’s side win again?
San Jose Earthquakes meanwhile continue to more mediocre as they’re now the only side in Major League Soccer yet to win in 2022.
Matías Almeyda’s side were beaten again last weekend, this time going down 4-3 at PNC Stadium to Houston Dynamo.
Jeremy Ebobisse’s brace and then Tommy Thompson’s rocket wasn’t enough to see the Quakes leave Texas with any points.
So, San Jose have just two points on the board, coming from home draws with Columbus Crew and, more recently, Austin FC.
Will PayPal Park witness a first home victory of the season?
