Match Preview

England will hope to bounce back from Thursday’s woeful showing against Greece when they take on Finland in Helsinki tomorrow.

Interim boss Lee Carsley’s hopes of getting the job on a permanent basis were undoubtedly harmed by a rudderless display prompted by his decision to not play a recognised centre-forward and instead utilise Jude Bellingham as a false nine ahead of several attacking midfielders.

It left the Three Lions looking lightweight in attack but also undermanned in midfield and Greece could have won by a far greater margin had they displayed more quality in the final third.

England are now second in Nations League B2 with six points from their three games.

Finland are bottom having lost all three games so far. In fact, they have lost four and drawn one of their last five games overall.

With Harry Kane and Jack Grealish likely to return to the starting XI, expect England to win, and win well.
