Match Preview

Wales will look to maintain the encouraging start made under new boss Craig Bellamy when they take on Iceland in the Nations League in Reykjavik tomorrow night.

Bellamy’s first two games in charge after succeeding Rob Page have yielded four points – a goalless draw with Turkey followed by a 2-1 win in Montenegro.

Leeds defender Joe Rodon told the BBC: “For me it’s been an absolute pleasure to work with him and his team.

“The level and detail of everything is top class and to learn here with him is a pleasure. You could see after the games that all the boys enjoyed it.

“Of course we want to build momentum and keep learning as a group. Team spirit and togetherness is always high and we’re just really excited for the future games.”

Iceland have made a mixed start to their Nations League campaign. They opened with a 2-0 win over Montenegro but were beaten 3-1 by Turkey last time out.

The hosts could have Fiorentina forward Albert Gudmundsson available after he was acquitted of sexual assault charges today.
