After a disappointing FA Cup weekend for both Brentford and Bournemouth, the two clubs will meet back in the Premier League as the Bees aim to rocket further up the league with the Cherries just above the relegation zone.
Both were knocked out of the FA Cup last weekend on home soil. The Vitality Stadium saw Burnley run riot in a comfortable 4-2 victory where the Clarets led from the sixth minute.
As for Brentford, West Ham United travelled to the Brentford Community Stadium and edged past the Bees in a 1-0 win where Thomas Frank’s men had just three shots on target throughout the entire game.
Frank has led his men into ninth right now in the Premier League and although European football is far from a reality in the general sense, mathematically, they sit only seven points behind Tottenham Hotspur in fifth.
The London side have also avoided defeat against Spurs since action resumed, although they did let a 2-0 lead slip in the second half after goals from Ivan Toney and Vitaly Janelt. They also smashed Liverpool 3-1 in their last outing, and in truth, they could have won by more.
Bournemouth, however, have lost every game since the World Cup, stretching their losing run to five games since December 21st.
