Match preview

Brighton & Hove Albion will have their sights set firmly on a return to winning ways, ahead of the latest round of midweek Premier League fixtures.

This comes with the stuttering Seagulls set to play host to, at present, the worst side in the English top-flight, Nottingham Forest.

Brighton, of course, proved headline-grabbers over the early weeks of the campaign. This came as the seaside outfit, under the watch of ex-boss Graham Potter, took their place amongst the early pace-setters, owing to ten points from an available twelve.

Recent weeks, however, have proven of an altogether more challenging nature.

The latest of these came this past weekend, when a trip to Thomas Frank’s Brentford gave rise to a 2-0 final scoreline in favour of the hosts.

Such woes have seen Roberto De Zerbi’s troops slip to 7th in the table, in the knowledge that another poor result in midweek could see them left dwindling in mid-table come the weekend.

Tuesday night, though, represents the perfect opportunity for the Seagulls to turn things around.

This comes with Nottingham Forest set to act as the latest visitors to the Amex Stadium.

Forest, on the back of their vaunted return to the top-flight, have been dealt a harsh dose of reality to this point in the campaign.

En route to a paltry five points, Steve Cooper’s men have notched one victory from ten attempts, finding the net on a league-worst seven occasions along the way.

All but one of the club’s last seven outings have culminated in defeat, the most recent of which came at the hands of manager-less Wolves this past weekend.

We at 101, in turn, are backing hosts Brighton to ultimately emerge triumphant from the Amex on Monday night, likely in comfortable fashion, too.
