Match Preview
Brighton & Hove Albion will meet with Leicester City at the AMEX this weekend as the Seagulls look to return to the win column after a loss to Fulham sees the club now fourth in the Premier League after five games.
Just like last season, Brighton have been absolutely brilliant so far. The club have managed to win three games, lose just their first game of the season in midweek, while also drawing another match. This puts them just three behind Manchester City in the table and two ahead of Liverpool as well.
Graham Potter has been an early candidate for Manager of the Season with his credentials so far, as Brighton have managed to beat West Ham United and Manchester United away from home, while also defeating Leeds United as well at the AMEX.
Potter’s men did lose to Fulham in midweek, however, with Alexis Mac Allister’s penalty meaning very little after Lewis Dunk’s own goal minutes earlier ended up being the difference between a draw and a defeat. Brighton have also managed to ease past Forest Green Rovers in the EFL Cup as well this season with a 3-0 victory.
What’s more, Leicester lost yet again on Thursday night to United, which means they now sit as one of the three teams without a win after five games in the league, and things do not seem to be getting better any time soon. In fact, this game could spell the end for Brendan Rodgers if he does not manage to pull out a win.
