Southampton have only won one of their last eight visits to Turf Moor, although this was a 1-0 victory last season. In all, the Saints have only won seven of 31 fixtures at the venue, including a 2-1 win in their first visit 114 years ago.

Under 2.5 goals is 10/11.

Draw and under 2.5 goals is 10/3.

Jay Rodriguez made 126 appearances for Southampton but has never scored in ten games against them. He is 13/2 to break the deadlock and 21/10 to change that statistic.

Armando Broja is 6/1 to score first and 15/8 to score his tenth of the season.

Match preview

Can Burnley claim three vital points and climb out of the relegation zone?

That’s because, the club confirmed that they’d sacked Sean Dyche who left the club after ten years and 425 matches in charge.

So, under-23 manager Mike Jackson is currently in interim charge, and led the side for the first time on Sunday at the London Stadium.

It was all going to plan for the Clarets, taking the lead through Wout Weghorst before they were awarded a penalty.

Maxwel Cornet stepped up but, after a stutter and shimmy, the Ivorian winger skewed his tame effort wide.

Burnley were made to pay when West Ham equalised late on and, actually, were thankful to Nick Pope that they left the capital with anything.

This draw means Burnley have only won one of their last eight and are 18th, just three points below Everton and safety.

The Toffees host Leicester on Wednesday, so the Clarets will be hoping for an away win here and, if that is the case, Burnley could end the night above the dotted line.

In their first home game without Sean Dyche for 3,470 days, 20 October 2012 to be exact, will Burnley claim three invaluable points?

Southampton meanwhile make the long journey north to Lancashire following a much-needed, moral-boosting win on Saturday.

Jan Bednarek’s strike just before half time saw off Arsenal 1-0 at St Mary’s, with Fraser Forster picking up the man of the match award after a string of vintage saves.

A week earlier, Ralph Hasenhüttl’s side had been demolished 6-0 by Chelsea, meaning they’d only amassed one point from five games.

But, Saturday’s win means the Saints are now 12th, looking to finish in the top half for the first time sine 2017.

Will Southampton plunge Burnley closer to relegation?

Burnley team news

The weekend draw with West Ham was overshadowed by Ashley Westwood’s horrific first half injury that means he will be out for some time.

So, in the more immediate future, Josh Brownhill will come in alongside Jack Cork.

Wout Weghorst scored his second goal for Burnley on Sunday, both of which have come away from home.

On the road, the Dutch striker has scored twice rom four shots, failing to score with any of his 12 shots so far at Turf Moor.

He and Jay Rodríguez could continue to lead the line with Maxwel Cornet and Dwight McNeil in support from wide positions.

Southampton team news

Ralph Hasenhüttl switched to a back three/five at the weekend so it’ll be interesting to see if he sticks with that.

Tino Livramento was surprisingly on the bench against Arsenal but could come in for either Kyle Walker-Peters or Yan Valery here.

Mohamed Elyounoussi and Stuart Armstrong could continue in the attacking midfield roles, behind Armando Broja.

With Adam Armstrong and Ché Adams on the bench, the ‘Adams, Armstrong and Adam Armstrong axis has been broken up.
