This article provides betting tips information for Leeds vs Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday 16 October 2022.

Match preview

The league leaders travel to west Yorkshire on Sunday facing what could potentially be another awkward encounter, but the sort of game that Mikel Arteta’s side has so impressively negotiated so far this season.

They have bounced back impressively since the defeat to Manchester United that threatened to dampen spirits around the Emirates, with supporters starting to believe that after years of flattering to deceive, the Gunners may finally be a force to be reckoned with once again.

Their attack is firing on all cylinders with Gabriel Martinelli, Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka a potent attacking quartet, and they are sure to provide all sorts of problems to a Leeds side short on form after a run of five games without a win.

Pascal Struijk – not normally a left-back – will face a tough afternoon against Saka, while Rasmus Kristensen will be hoping last week’s performance against Wilf Zaha gives him a platform to build on and settle into the Leeds team after a tough start.

It’s not just the defence that has struggled either, Patrick Bamford is short on fitness and form while Rodrigo has stuttered back to the kind of form that so frustrated Leeds fans over the last two years to make for a dysfunctional attack, but the return of Luis Sinisterra could provide some hope for Whites fans.

However Leeds did show against Chelsea that they are capable of spoiling the day for their more-fancied opponents, and if their energetic high press pays off then it could be a very attractive game to watch for the neutral.

101’s Tip

It is likely that there will be goals at both ends with Leeds’ leaky back line, while still possessing dangerous forwards. It is highly likely that Arsenal will get the three points, and Leeds have already shown this season that they struggle to control their aggression and referees will be on red alert for their approach.
