Match Preview

Tottenham are looking to make it three Premier League wins in a row when they travel to Ipswich on Saturday.

Ange Postecoglou’s side are finally starting to rediscover their form and will be looking for revenge on the Tractor Boys after they handed them a defeat in North London earlier in the season.

But it is business as usual for Kieran McKenna and Co as they look to climb out of the relegation zone.

They are yet to win in the top flight since the turn of the year but know Spurs can be vulnerable at the back.

A win could take them out of the bottom three providing results go their way and last week’s 1-1 draw with Aston Villa will give them confidence that they can compete with the big six club.

Spurs’ victories over Manchester United and Brentford have come at the perfect time as they gear up for their run in the Europa League knockouts.

Players returning from injury have also bolstered the squad, and the travelling contingent from the capital to Suffolk will be confident they can return home with three more points.

Ipswich vs Tottenham team news

Guglielmo Vicario, James Maddison, Brennan Johnson, Wilson Odobert and Destiny Udogie all returned from injury last week.

Timo Werner could be the latest to make his Tottenham comeback, but Postecoglou will likely still be without defenders Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven.

Richarlison and Dominic Solanke will also remain on the sidelines.

Ipswich are without Wesley Burns and Chiedozie Ogbene, as well as Christian Walton, who has been ruled out for the long term.

Axel Tuanzebe is suspended after being sent off against Aston Villa.

But the good news for Ipswich is that Sammie Szmodics, Sam Morsy and Leif Davis could all return.

Ipswich vs Tottenham prediction

This matchup will be a fascinating watch between two teams who need points on the board.

On paper, Spurs’ form and returning squad members should get them over the line, but they are more than capable of being beat by Ipswich.

If Liam Delap can find his best form, there is a good chance he can help cause an upset, or at least earn his side a point.

We are going for a score draw at Portman Road.
