James Maddison to score and Leicester to win – 10/3

Maddison has been in good form for Leicester with three goals in the last two games, and with Leeds on the ropes, he will fancy his chances of adding to that if handed a start while Leicester should fancy themselves to come out on top.

Draw and BTTS – 15/4

It is hard to know what to expect from Leeds given the change in management, but it is likely that Jesse Marsch’s first port of call will have been to add a bit of defensive structure, so expect them to bit a bit more frugal at the back and result in a lower-scoring game.

Match preview

All eyes will be on the new man in the away dugout, with Jesse Marsch taking charge of his first game of Leeds following the decision to sack Marcelo Bielsa.

However given the performance and body language of the players against Spurs, it was inevitable that change was coming and they should be revitalised under the stewardship of former RB Leipzig boss Marsch.

It is a first foray into the Premier League for the American who is rated highly by Leeds director of football Victor Orta, and there will be a close eye on how he adapts Leeds’ man-marking system and line-up, which had become a frustration under Bielsa.

Not only does he have a playing style and crisis of confidence to deal with, but Marsch is also staring down the barrel of a relegation scrap with the Peacocks just two points clear of the bottom three.

A win could cut the gap to Leicester to four points however, after Brendan Rodgers’ side picked up a crucial win over Burnley midweek.

That was their first Premier League win of 2022 and with Jamie Vardy returning from fitness things are starting to look up for the Foxes, who will be looking to inch back towards at top-half spot while also advancing further in the Europa Conference League.

Leicester City team news

Jamie Vardy’s return to action against Burnley was the big news Leicester fans have been waiting for, and he delivered with an influential performance off the bench, so should be ready to start along with the in-form James Maddison.

Ricardo Pereira also returned from injury but only completed 45 minutes and is likely to be assessed before attempting two games in a week, but Wesley Fofana, Jonny Evans, Ryan Bertrand and James Justin remain absent.

Leeds United team news

There was a surprise addition to training on Thursday morning with Patrick Bamford taking part in a full session after three months out with a foot injury, and supposedly nowhere nearer to a return.

Kalvin Phillips and Liam Cooper are edging towards a return to training but are not yet ready, while Diego Llorente has emerged as another injury doubt. There is unlikely to be a major change in personnel despite the change in manager.
