Match preview
St. James’ Park is set to act as the venue on Wednesday, October 19th, when a Newcastle United outfit flying high in the Premier League table go in search of a 3rd win in four.
Eddie Howe’s troops, of course, have proven an altogether tough nut to crack across the campaign to date.
All told, the Magpies have slipped to just a solitary defeat, the joint-fewest in England’s top-flight alongside top-3 Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.
Their last three outings, meanwhile, have given rise to seven points from an available nine, catapulting Newcastle into 6th in the table, and a potential European spot.
Fabian Schar, on the other hand, is expected to be available after limping out of the Geordie outfit’s 0-0 stalemate with Manchester United at the weekend.

Turning attentions towards Wednesday’s visitors to Tyneside, Everton have found positive results more difficult to come by of late.
The Toffees, on the back of six successive outings unbeaten, including a pair of back-to-back victories either side of the international break, have since slipped to two defeats on the trot.
The latest of these came on Saturday, as goals on the part of Harry Kane and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg condemned Frank Lampard’s men to a deserved loss at Tottenham.
Everton, in turn, have slipped back down to 4th in the table, just two points clear of the drop zone.
On the personnel front, meanwhile, Nathan Patterson is the only member of the Blues ranks understood to be closing on an imminent return, but, in his absence, veteran stopper Seamus Coleman will continue at right-back.
When it comes to the likely outcome at St. James’ Park on Wednesday night, we at 101, in turn, are backing hosts Newcastle to ultimately have too much for a stuttering Everton outfit.
