While one of these teams is destine for the Champions League, the other is hurtling towards the Championship.

In stark contrast, Southampton’s hopes of survival suffered a serious blow on Thursday, and one they surely won’t be able to recover from.
The Saints were beaten 1-0 by Bournemouth at St Mary’s, with Ché Adams seeing an 89th minute equaliser disallowed by VAR for a very marginal offside.
Rubén Sellés’ side are now without a win in eight, leaving them at the foot of the table, six points adrift of safety.
Newcastle have beaten Southampton all four times they’ve met in the last 13 months, with the Saints’ most-recent victory on Tyneside coming in 2015.
A home win seems extremely likely at St James’ Park.

Matt Targett started a Premier League game for the first time since 17 September on Thursday, but, if fit, Dan Burn will be back in for this one.
In attack, Callum Wilson was rotated in for Alexander Isak at Goodison, with the Swede set to return, despite the fact Wilson scored twice.
Similarly, Miguel Almirón returned to the XI after injury but Jacob Murphy, who’s scored three times this week, will feel he deserves to start this time.

Elsewhere, Ainsley Maitland-Niles will come in for the injured Romain Perraud at full-back, while Jan Bednarek has recovered after suffering a horrible neck injury at Arsenal.
Fellow centre-back Armel Bella-Kotchap is out though, meaning Duje Ćaleta-Car will keep his place.
Ché Adams scored at St James’ in January and, having had a late equaliser ruled out by VAR on Thursday, could return to the XI here.
