The Seagulls stormed into a 2-0 lead through goals from Welbeck and a Salisu own goal.

The Eagles are pushing for a top-half finish but they have won just once in their last five.

Before the draw at home to Leeds, they suffered back to back defeats against Leicester and Newcastle.

Patrick Vieira’s side are currently 14th in the table and four points off 10th place.

The South London club have a favourable run-in as they are due to face just one non-top half team.
