Will this be the day that Southampton’s 11-year stay in the Premier League comes to an end?
Since securing back-to-back promotion in 2011 and ‘12, the Saints have finished as high as sixth in the top-flight, beaten Inter Milan in the Europa League and reached a League Cup Final.
However, in more recent times, they’ve been teetering on the edge of relegation and, this time, they’re surely set to fall through the trap door.
On Monday night, Southampton’s fate was pretty much sealed, beaten 4-3 by fellow bottom three dwellers Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.

That made it three successive defeats for Rubén Sellés’ team, who’ve accumulated just three points from the last 30 available.
Meantime, many would’ve predicted that it would be Fulham who were occupying a similarly perilous position at this stage of the campaign.
Instead, the Cottagers kick off in the top half, having won three of their last six.
On Monday afternoon, they beat Leicester 5-3 at Craven Cottage, racing into a 4-0 lead before the Foxes fought back towards the end.
Willian and Tom Cairney both bagged braces, with Carlos Vinícius on target in-between.
This result means Marco Silva’s men remain six points clear of Chelsea, seeking to finish above their vastly more illustrious West London rivals for the first time in four decades.
Fulham won the reverse fixture 2-1 on New Years’ Eve, but they haven’t completed a league-double over Southampton since 1906/07, partially due to the fact that they’re winless in nine visits to Hampshire.
Given the Saints’ form and league position, both of those facts could be about to change at St Mary’s.

Rubén Sellés has tried pretty much everything since taking over from Nathan Jones in February, and now it’s probably too little too late.
Armel Bella-Kotchap hobbled off towards half time on Monday, meaning Lyanco is likely to partner Jan Bednarek, chosen over Duje Ćaleta-Car.
James Ward-Prowse scored at both ends in the reverse fixture, taking his tally to nine for the season with that stoppage time penalty at Nottingham Forest.

In less good news, Tim Ream and Andreas Pereira both suffered season-ending injuries against Man City, so Issa Diop and Tom Cairney will deputise.
Defensive midfielder João Palhinha has been shown 12 yellow cards so far, the joint-most of any player.
The single-season Premier League record is 14, jointly held by six players: Étienne Capoue (18/19), José Holebas (16/17) and Lee Cattermole (14/15), Cheick Tioté (10/11), Robbie Savage (01/02) and Mark Hughes (98/99).
If Palhinha is going to become the record-holder, he needs to be booked in all of Fulham’s remaining fixtures.
