Manchester City will be eyeing up the top of the Premier League table after making it two wins from two games in the Champions League with the champions of England heading to Molineux this weekend.
City have turned up the heat when playing against Wolves in recent times after the Midlands side previously went on to win two of the five three games in the Premier League when they got promoted. Better yet for Wolves, they went on to register back-to-back wins over the club in 2019/20.
This time around, however, the Citizens are an entirely different ball game. Erling Haaland simply will not stop scoring with yet another in the Champions League this past week which makes it 13 goals in nine games for the Norwegian after scoring against his old club, Borussia Dortmund.
As for Wolves, they are finally starting to move up the Premier League table after putting together their first win of the season in the last game against Southampton. Daniel Podence netted for Wolves that day as they once again had just two shots on target.
This does still mean just two wins across the board all campaign long for Bruno Lage’s men after beating Preston North End in the EFL Cup, however, with the Portuguese now acquiring the services of two-time Premier League winner, Diego Costa. It’s unlikely that the former Chelsea man will get drafted into the side so rapidly, but he may be available off the bench as Raul Jimenez and Hwang Hee-chan continue to struggle for form.
