Match preview

Can St Johnstone start to build some momentum?

Last weekend, Callum Davidson’s side smashed St Mirren 3-0 at McDiarmid Park, thereby enjoying their biggest Premiership victory for 19 months.

Nicky Clark scoring 26 minutes into his Saints debut, before Drey Wright’s cool finish and then Graham Carey’s emphatic penalty sealed the points.

Before this, St Johnstone had lost three successive matches, but are now above the relegation places and in ninth.

Championship champions Kilmarnock meantime currently occupy the relegation play-off spot.

Killie were beaten 1-0 at Easter Road by Hibernians last weekend.

Derek McInnes’ side did claim their first victory of the campaign at home to Motherwell a fortnight ago so, back at Rugby Park, can Killie leapfrog their visitors?
