Rangers are unbeaten in ten meetings with Aberdeen. The Dons have won just three of their last 33 visits to Ibrox, but did so in a Scottish Cup replay in 2019.

Rangers to win and both teams to score NO is 10/11.

Rangers to win and under 2.5 goals is 9/4.

Alfredo Morelos has scored seven goals against Aberdeen, whilst also picking up three red cards against them. The Colombian is 3/1 to break the deadlock and 5/6 to add to his tally.

Match preview

Will Rangers go joint-top of the table, for 24 hours at least?

On Wednesday night, Glen Kamara’s third minute goal was enough to see the Light Blues beat St Johnstone 1-0 at McDiarmid Park.

The 3-0 drubbing at Celtic Park obviously stands out but draws with Aberdeen, Ross County, Dundee United and, last weekend, Motherwell are holding them back.

So, Rangers remain three points behind Celtic who travel to the Tony Macaroni Arena tomorrow.

Thus, will the champions join their bitter rivals on 70 points, for now at least?

Aberdeen meanwhile slipped all the way down to tenth place this week after they were beaten 2-0 at Tynecastle by Hearts.

This means Jim Goodwin is still looking for his first win as Reds’ boss, two draws and a defeat, but the club are now winless in nine league games overall.

The Dons’ last league victory came way back on Boxing Day.

Since 2014, Aberdeen have finished no lower than fourth, last ending a campaign tenth or lower way back in 2004.

Thus, everything points towards a home win at Ibrox but, both meetings between the two so far have ended all square.

Rangers team news

Giovanni van Bronckhorst is hopeful that both Ryan Jack and Aaron Ramsey will be back in contention to feature in this one.

Ramsey has started just once since making the move from Juventus, doing so in a Scottish Cup tie against Annan Athletic.

Coming up on Thursday, Rangers play Crvena zvezda in the UEFA Europa League but there’s no chance they’ll rest and rotate ahead of this tie.

Leon Balogun has struggled for fitness this season but, having started in Perth on Wednesday, could keep his place alongside Connor Goldson.

Amad did miss the midweek trip to St Johnstone and, if he isn’t back Scott Arfield could continue out-wide with Ianis Hagi a long-term absentee.

Alfredo Morelos will lead the line, chosen over Fashion Sakala and Kemar Roofe.

Aberdeen team news

The Dons are short of defenders with Mikey Devlin and Andy Considine injured while Calvin Ramsay and Adam Montgomery are doubts.

Ross McCrorie, who missed the midweek trip to the capital, should be back to take on his former club.

Scott Brown has played against Rangers 52 times in his career, scoring his third goal against them when Aberdeen visited Ibrox in October.

Christian Ramirez also scored in that fixture, one of 15 he’s got since arriving in Scotland from Houston Dynamo.
